Attention
all WCHS Parents - Frozen in Time, the 2008 Junior-Senior
Prom will take place in the WCHS Gymnasium from 9pm-1am.
If
you would like a "sneak peak", you and your family
are welcome to stop by May 3rd from 6:30-8pm when we will
have the gym open for our community to see the
transformation! Please
plan on parking in the front or co-op side of the building
and walking around the building to our rear entrance, as our
parking area will be restricted for our students.
The gym closes at 8pm, in preparation for prom.
In addition, parents are welcome to gather beside the
red carpet to snap photos of their student as they make
their way into the building - again, parking is restricted
to the front of the building.
Our juniors have been working hard - come out and see
the results! Susan
Carey, Junior Sponsor

Summer College Bus Tour, June 30 – July 2.This
summer the high school guidance counselors have planned a
college bus tour for the current juniors and their parents.
This is an excellent opportunity for juniors and
their parents to visit eight universities and learn about
the opportunities each university has to offer and to learn
about the application process.
Each school will also discuss financial aid and
scholarship opportunities.
The tour is planned for June 30 through July 2.
We will be traveling in a comfortable motor coach.
On the first day the tour will travel to Bluegrass
Community and Technical College, Thomas More College,
Northern Kentucky University and possibly Xavier University.
We are hoping to spend the night at one of the
universities in Louisville.
On Tuesday we will visit Bellarmine University,
University of Louisville, and that evening visit Western
Kentucky University in Bowling Green.
We will spend the night at Murray State University.
Wednesday morning we will visit Murray State
University and then return to Woodford Co.
The cost of the trip will
be around $150.00 per person.
This cost includes bus transportation, meals and
lodging. We are
asking that at least one parent or guardian accompany each
student. In order to finalize the plans and cost, we need to
know if there is an interest for this trip.
Juniors and parents interested
in taking this college tour, please contact your guidance
counselor by February 8.
The
ACT will be administered at WCHS on the following dates:
June
14th.
