Arts and Humanities Expectations: (Visual Art, Music, Drama, Dance)

• Students will be able to explain and describe the purpose of the arts.

• Students will be able to describe and apply the elements and principles of each area of arts.

• Students will be able to identify the major art periods, along with artists and their works, beginning at the renaissance and progressing through the 20th century.

Geography Expectations:

• Students will gain a working knowledge of the world map, and be able to locate the continent and general vicinity of all nations of the world.

• Students will be able to explain how climate and environment impact movement and settled.

• Students will be able to describe how geographic features enhance or prevent interactions between regions of the world during different time preriods.
