W.A.V.E. Entry Release

The Applicant, in entering the W.A.V.E., agrees to all rules and regulations defined in the Official Extravaganza Rules and agrees to release the high school, its staff and other representatives from any and all claims arising in any way from the submission of materials by or on behalf of the applicant. The applicant also grants a non-exclusive license, throughout the world and in perpetuity, to the W.A.V.E. to:

A) Show the Work to the public on the night of the W.A.V.E..
B) Use the Work for not for profit W.A.V.E. promotions and fundraising.
C) Include or embody the Work in another film produced by W.A.V.E. such as a collection of films, to be used for promotion of the W.A.V.E. (not for profit).
D) To display the Work, in part or in its entirety, on the W.A.V.E. website
E) To present the Work to the public by any means including, but not limited to, the internet, cable, satellite, radio, television, newspapers, VHS, CD and DVD.
F) To have the entry listed in our catalogue of entries.

By signing below, the person submitting the enclosed Work(s) for entry into the W.A.V.E.  indicates that he/she holds all necessary rights for the submission of the project and to grant the rights granted to the W.A.V.E.

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE CAREFULLY, FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENT AND VOLUNTARILY AGREE TO ITS TERMS. I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT IN SIGNING THIS RELEASE, I AM WAIVING CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS ON BEHALF OF THE ABOVE-NOTED APPLICANT, INCLUDING THE RIGHT TO SUE.

OFFICIAL W.A.V.E RULES
1. Entries must include credits and covers with DVD label information requested on pg. 1 of this document. 
2. Works submitted in languages other than English must be subtitled in English.
3. Please submit separate entries for each individual film submitted through W.A.V .E.
4. Submissions may be fiction, comedy, documentary, or experimental of 12 minutes or fewer, but must be appropriate for an audience under the age of 19.
5. You will be notified of the selection committee’s final decision by Thursday, May 8^th. .
6. DVDs will not be sent back after the selection process.
7. The Festival will make every effort to ensure the safe keeping of all productions submitted for competition which are in its care or control. However, the Applicant in applying to the Festival agrees to release the Festival, its Officers, Directors and other representatives, from any and all claims arising in any way from the submission of materials by or on behalf of the Applicant, whether on film, video or otherwise to the Festival.
8. The Festival retains the power to decide on all matters not specifically dealt with in these regulations. No application will be accepted unless signed.
9. Notice of participation implies recognition of these regulations. In any dispute, the decisions of the Festival will be final.

10. W.AV.E. is a competitive event.
11.  Entries must contain appropriate content to a school event. Any inappropriate visual or oral content must be edited or removed. W.A.V.E. reserves the right to disqualify any inappropriate submissions.
