Choose a sequence of 8-10 words, put  the phrase in quotes in www.google.com.

An alternate search engine that may find hits overlooked by google is www.mama.com.

This site allows you to search many search engines and gives clear directions and hints to increase the likelihood of finding the source of a plagiarized work. www.2learn.ca/mapset/SafetyNet/plagiarism/sleuth/StringSearchnew.html.
